Who is Dutch Lime? – An interview with Kevin Palmer, Co-Founder

What made you decide to launch Dutch Lime?

Dutch Lime is the sister agency to Fluid Thinking. Fluid Thinking is primarily a design agency based in Leicester (UK), serving an impressive global client listing, the likes of Stanley Black and Decker, Goodyear Tyres, and La-Z-Boy.

The decision to launch Dutch Lime was born from our investment to do everything we can for our clients, which ultimately led us to migrate into more and more specialist areas, to the point we decided a unique identity was needed.

What are the services Dutch Lime can offer businesses?

We like to think of ourselves as a “one-stop-shop” for digital, offering services that span across the entire marketing journey, all the way from initial concepts and strategic planning through design and delivery, there’s nothing we can’t help you with, and I think that’s one thing that makes Dutch Lime truly unique (that, and the name).

Is there something that makes Dutch Lime different from other agencies?

We may be a new agency, but we’re bringing some experienced faces with us. Our ethos has always been the same, “Our minds work better together,” and we plan to continue breaking the silos between the client and the agency. We have always believed in the power of collaboration, and I think the relationships we have built with our clients over the years are testament to that.

Do you have anything you would like to achieve for Dutch Lime in your first year?

Outside of specific figures or client acquisitions, I would like to overhear a stranger talking about “Dutch Lime.” Whether that will occur during a conversation about the most obscure agency names or during a discussion about top places people would love to work (hopefully the latter), I want people to remember the name Dutch Lime.

How did the name come about?

I wish I had an interesting, captivating story, but Dutch Lime simply came about after brainstorming unusual but memorable word combinations – it was one of many interesting names.

I won’t divulge the names that didn’t make the final cut; however, if any new agencies are struggling for ideas, send me an email – I have plenty (haha).

Finally, do you have any advice for anyone launching an agency?

Absolutely, yes. Step one: hire Dutch Lime for your branding and digital positioning… Kidding, in all seriousness, my number one piece of advice is to get talking; reach out to old connections, and make new ones. You’d be surprised what opportunities are just around the corner, even in the most familiar places.
